President Donald Trump held back-to-back White House meetings on Tuesday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, amid the wars in Ukraine and with Iran.

The two meetings took place one after another on Tuesday, July 28, at the White House. President Zelenskyy called his meeting with Trump “good,” saying: “The President and I discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and several other ideas that could help.”

The Patriot licensing discussion follows an announcement Trump made at the NATO summit in Turkey, where Washington signalled it would grant Ukraine a license to manufacture its own Patriot missile interceptors — a request Kyiv had long been pressing for. The two leaders also discussed reviving diplomatic efforts to end the war with Russia, now entering its fifth year.

Immediately after the Zelenskyy meeting, Trump met behind closed doors with Netanyahu. Neither the White House nor Israeli officials have released a readout of that meeting, the first known face-to-face between the two leaders since the U.S. and Israel launched their war with Iran.
