Several Quebec regions — including Gaspésie, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Estrie and Outaouais — were under yellow severe-weather watches as a hot, very humid air mass settled over the province.
Tornado watches and severe thunderstorm alerts were in effect for some areas. In the Outaouais, a heat warning forecast highs of 30 to 37 °C with a humidex reaching up to 45.
